Just back from a truly beautiful experience – a guided walk around Staverton Thicks (ancient oak woodland in Suffolk, with trees over 1,000 years old) and an improvised concert at Butley Priory based on what we saw during the two hour walk. I wish every Sunday could be like this…
These are wonderful photos of a magical day with the wise and wizened Oaks of Staverton Thicks. I know that Oak is an important presence for you. Am sure they recognised this and welcomed you company and companionship for the day. x
I was literally buzzing all day… x
Thank you for sharing such stunning, moving pictures, one could almost feel the gentle energy from those ancient oaks. Blessings from down under Anne of Green Gables
You’re welcome Anne! x
I live quite near Staverton Thicks and this place is very special. If only the trees could talk? What a tale that would be! x/|\x
I live nearby as well – and they do talk, if you listen carefully 😉
Magical place. x
Wish I’d been with you. Thank-you for sharing. x
I’m sure you were there in spirit! x
