We will be postponing our next Year 1 session in Essex, as we have something very exciting brewing in the cauldron of inspiration! Starting in January 2019, we will be preparing our new online correspondence course, a full Year 1 programme, which will consist of online meetings, pre-recorded video and audio lectures, booklets to download and more. We have had so many people get in touch wanting to know if we could offer a correspondence course, as they were physically unable to attend our in-house sessions. And so, we aim to provide this for 2020, alongside our next Year 1 in-house programme. Stay tuned for more updates and info!
I’m sure the course will fully deliver for those people seeking inspiration and learning ๐
Thanks, Carrie! xoxo
I am very interested in the correspondence course. Living in the USA it is not easy for me to get to the courses available mostly due to distance. Please keep me informed
Sure thing, Richard ๐ We’ll post updates here, and on the website and social media pages.
I am really excited about the idea of a correspondence course.
I was part of a druid group many years ago.
Well done, Jo (and Robin)! I think this is a great idea for those who are not able to travel to the in-person teaching weekends at Druid College. I do hope that in-person teaching will be able to continue in some form, though, there’s nothing that compares to doing ritual together with other Druids. That said, I appreciate the issues of distance and cost, and think that you’ve done stellar work in making the material available as a correspondence course.
Hi Ryan! Yes, we will still continue with the in-house course, we’re just postponing our next Year 1 so that we can get the correspondence course off the ground. it’s all very exciting! I’m also looking at making the correspondence course material available for a much-discounted cost for those who have done in in-house programme. ๐
What an excellent idea! I love how you’re opening it up and making it more accessible.
The timing of this is amazing. I’ve been considering joining a Druid course and here this is! Excited and interested. Please keep us posted!
Will do!
Joanna,
I’ve been subscribing to your Down the Forest Path for some time, and want to comment on the posting Remembering your Story published in September.ย I saved it as a text file to my desktop labeled Don’t be Dulled by Social Media.ย I had just cancelled my Facebook account and was feeling much less stressed by some strange need to be involved in the lives of people with whom I otherwise have no relationship.ย I do miss the cat videos, but have adjusted more easily than I would have believed.ย Interestingly enough, I work online but found my entire life was wrapped up in Facebook nonsensical information.ย It’s good to have the extra time for more important pursuits like walking in the woods.
So, just want to say thanks and many wishes for your continued success.
Cyd
Thanks, Cyd, it’s appreciated! Enjoy the woods ๐
